Evil hardware gnomes 2 - Me 0

For the past three weeks I have been trying to get the robot to navigate autonomously in the university campus. To be more correct, I have been trying to get a worthless, overpriced piece of ill-designed junk built by MobileRobots with  the sole purpose of tormenting PhD students, to navigate in the university campus. I spent one hour connecting to the onboard 5 V, supposedly easy to access. However, the whole process makes open heart surgery look like kids play !
